Carmel Hills, a retirement community for Christians, offers such a place. Since 1980, retirees have called Carmel Hills home. Our beautiful grounds encompass 15 wooded acres in Charlotte. Sit on the covered porch socializing with others while gazing across the lake, or meander on the gentle walking trails in the woods. The beauty and size of the Carmel Hills campus is only exceeded by the hearts of the folks who live here. Residents genuinely enjoy and care about each other. Due to the size of our population (average of 50 independent and 30 assisted living residents), residents are well known to our staff and to each other. Unlike the many “big box” dormitory style 55+ active adult retirement communities popping up all over, residents are able to feel right at home at Carmel Hills.
